Once again, filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is feeling pretty upset. He hopped onto X (formerly known as Twitter) to vent about actor Adil Hussain, who had some not-so-nice things to say about Sandeep’s movie, Kabir Singh, from 2019… Do you have seen the movie “Kabir Singh”?? Adil, who had a small part in the film, mentioned in an interview that he wasn’t proud of being in it. Oh! What are your thoughts about Adil and why he said this type of review for this movie??
Sandeep didn’t hold back in his response. He kind of poked fun at Adil’s other movies, calling them ‘art films,’ and said they didn’t make Adil as famous as his ‘regret’ over one blockbuster movie did… Do you think so?? Sandeep even mentioned replacing Adil’s face with AI to save him from embarrassment. Ouch! Do you like the acting of Adil OR not?
So, what exactly did Adil say? Well, he spilled the beans in a chat with AP Podcast’s YouTube channel… Have you heard the podcast?? In this podcast, Adil confessed that he wasn’t keen on doing Kabir Singh… Oh! He even asked for a big paycheck, hoping the production folks would say no. But they said yes, and Adil found himself in the movie… Yeah yeah! However, when he watched it, he couldn’t bear more than 20 minutes of it. What is the reason for his awkward attitude?? I think that the main reason for this is that he didn’t like his character in that movie… Do you think so??
Adil went on to criticize the movie, saying it promoted stuff that wasn’t good for society, like male dominance and violence. Hmm… I also agreed with him. He felt pretty ashamed of being part of it and hoped his wife didn’t catch wind of it because she wouldn’t be too pleased either. Oh!
When Adil’s interview hit Reddit, folks knew Sandeep wouldn’t stay silent. And they were right… Yeah yeah! Sandeep fired back, but Adil wasn’t fazed… Oh! He told the Times of India that he was in the US and hadn’t seen Sandeep’s post nor did he plan to. Adil stood by his words and wasn’t backing down. Are you with Sandeep OR with Adil??
Now, Sandeep has faced criticism before, especially for his movies promoting toxic masculinity and disrespecting women… This is not fair! The respect of each gender either male OR female is important. It is not right to make this kind of movie that will impact every person’s life negatively… It all started with Arjun Reddy and carried on with Animal, his mega-hit from last year. Even Javed Akhtar took a jab at Sandeep for Animal, but Sandeep’s team, or maybe Sandeep himself, hit back on Twitter, questioning Javed’s understanding of art… Hmm! It turned into a bit of a back-and-forth, with both sides sticking to their guns. What are your thoughts about this difficult situation??
In the end, it’s a clash of opinions and egos, with Sandeep defending his movies and Adil standing firm on his views. It’s like a real-life drama but without the script. Do you agree with me?? This is a very awkward situation, and nothing is clear. Do you think that everything will become better in the future?? In my opinion, the movies that are based on gender disrespect are not fair…
